The Astra Group has been in the Pharmaceutical Business for more than 16 years. The Flagship group of the company “Astra Pharma (U) Ltd.” was started in the year 1996 at Kampala - Uganda and is now one of the leading Pharmaceutical Distributors in Uganda with business relationships with many reputed Multinational Companies. In the process of further expansion of Astra Group “Astra Pharma (T) Ltd.” was born in 2002 with the aim of providing quality Health Care to the people of Tanzania.

Astra Pharma (T) Ltd within a short span of time has come up to the standards of being appointed as partners with prestigious companies like Roche(Switzerland), Eli Lilly S.A, Elpe, Anfarm and Cooper from Greece, Astra Zeneca uk, Banner Pharma Caps from India, Centaur Pharmaceuticals India, Albert David India,Galentic India, Shaphaco Pharmaceuticals from Yemen, Sparsh Biotech from India, IPCA Laboratories India, Umedica India, KPI from Uganda and Surgical companies like Top Glove sdn bdh,Malaysia , Harsoria Health Care Pvt. Ltd, India and has rose to achieve a turnover of about 1.4 billion Tanzanian Shillings (Approx 875,000dollars) of business in a month, in a short period of 10 years.
